About me

“Is there any hope for me? Will things ever get better?”

Those were questions I asked repeatedly over the past several years.

I was exhausted.

Fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis, Lyme disease, financial stressors, and spiritual battles had become such a significant part of my life that most days, I wasn't thinking about getting ahead—I was simply trying to make it through the day so I could crawl into bed and collapse.

And there was another layer to my struggle.

I was a Christian counselor.

I thought I was supposed to be the one who was full of hope.

The one who encouraged others.

The one who knew what to say when life became difficult.

But behind the encouragement I offered others, I was struggling deeply within my own heart.

I knew I was headed toward a deep, dark pit.

And I knew I was desperate for hope.

When I Couldn't See the Light

I spent a great deal of time praying.

I studied God's Word daily.

I sought Him.

I reminded myself of His promises.

But somehow, things in my life seemed to continue getting worse.

I knew in my head that God was good.

I knew He was loving.

I knew His promises were true.

But my heart and my body had taken a beating over those years.

Eventually, doubt and unbelief began to gain a foothold.

When you can't see any light at the end of the tunnel, hopelessness can become very real.

I struggled with my faith.

I struggled with questions.

I struggled with God.

Where was He?

And perhaps the hardest question of all:

Was there really any hope for me?

I Became Desperate to Find Hope

Something had to change.

I couldn't continue living without hope.

So I began a journey—not because I had all the answers, but because I was desperate and determined to find hope.

I went back to His promises.

I kept seeking Him.

I kept praying.

I kept studying His Word.

And, perhaps most importantly, I kept walking by faith even when I couldn't see what was ahead.

It didn't happen overnight.

There wasn't one magical moment when everything suddenly became easy.

It took time.

It took perseverance.

It took choosing faith again and again.

And then...

Hope began to surface.

At first, it was just a glimpse.

A tiny ray of light.

But once I caught a glimpse of hope, something changed.

I started seeing hope everywhere.

Hope had been there.

Waiting to be found.

That's Why Hope for the Weary Heart Exists

My journey through weariness and hopelessness changed the way I understand hope.

I learned that hope isn't always loud.

Sometimes hope is very small.

Sometimes it's simply getting up one more day.

Sometimes it's holding onto one promise from God's Word.

Sometimes it's whispering a prayer when you don't have the strength for anything more.

Sometimes hope is choosing to take one more step by faith.

And sometimes, before your circumstances change, hope begins changing you from the inside.

That is the heart behind Hope for the Weary Heart.

I created this space for women who are walking through difficult seasons and wondering if things will ever get better.

For the woman who is exhausted.

For the woman who is discouraged.

For the woman who has been praying for a long time.

For the woman who loves God but is struggling with questions.

For the woman who feels like she's running out of strength.

For the woman who quietly wonders:

“Is there any hope for me?”

My Answer Is Yes.

Without a doubt, I know there is hope for you and me.

I don't say that because life is always easy.

I don't say it because every circumstance works out the way we want.

And I don't say it because I have all the answers.

I say it because I've been in a place where I couldn't see hope—and then I found it.

I learned that hope was not as far away as I thought.

It was waiting to be discovered in God's promises.

In His presence.

In His Word.

In faith.

In perseverance.

In the small steps forward.

And in the realization that my difficult season was not the end of my story.

You Don't Have to Pretend You're Okay

As a Christian counselor, I believe we need spaces where we can be honest about what we're experiencing.

You can have faith and still feel weary.

You can trust God and still have questions.

You can pray and still cry.

You can believe God's promises and still have difficult days.

Being weary doesn't mean you've failed.

It means you're human.

My desire is to help women care for their hearts while continuing to walk by faith.

Through ebooks, devotionals, journals, podcasts, courses, and encouragement, Hope for the Weary Heart exists to help you find practical, faith-filled ways to navigate difficult seasons.

A Personal Message From Me to You

If you are here today asking,

“Is there any hope for me?”

I want you to know what I wish I could have heard during some of my darkest days:

Yes.

There is hope.

Even when you can't see it yet.

Even when you're exhausted.

Even when you've prayed and nothing seems to be changing.

Even when your faith feels fragile.

Keep seeking.

Keep holding onto His promises.

Keep walking by faith.

Keep taking the next step.

Because sometimes hope is already there...

waiting to be found.

And if my journey has taught me anything, it is this:

You may be weary, but your story isn't over.

There is hope for you. There is hope for me.

With hope,
